Recent large-scale rescues have left the shelter desperate for kennel space. Now, in an effort to find loving homes for cats and empty cages for incoming rescued cats, Animal Friends is waiving adoption donations for all felines age 2 and up.

Adult Cat Adoptions at Animal Friends

7 Jul

Sure kittens are cute and they’re really fun, but adult cats are your friends. Visit Animal Friends this Saturday, July 10, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., to meet a whole room of adult cats who are ready to go home with you, and their Cat Behavior Team will be on hand to help you make your match. You can also visit them …on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Animal-Friends/44621588806?ref=ts

It’s easy to be captivated by kittens, but cats with some experience under their collars can make excellent companions – all grown up, calmed down, and ready to love.

Left Behind in an Apartment?!

2 Jul

I stopped to visit my local Agway, a small shop who sometimes takes in stray and feral kittens from customers when shelters are full, and found this sweet little tabby girl, a tuxedo mama, and seven kittens from two different litters! They’ll all get their shots and be spayed and neutered when it’s time, and they are all up for adoption.

Who could do that to a kitty as pretty as this? She looks to be about four months old, a sweet long-haired tabby who’s very skittish, a little confused, but very affectionate underneath it all.

Happy Adoptions, a Wonderful Event!

2 Jul

Two adult cats and three kittens were adopted at the table next to me, and I have the feeling that many other successful adoptions took place at the Hearts and Paws event I attended yesterday. I got to debut my new pawprints, gift bags and tote bags to good reviews too!

The weather was beautiful, and I personally saw five kitties be adopted to good homes! Plus I sold a respectable amount of merchandise for a five-hour event.
