My hubby and I are devout animal lovers and this situation is heart-breaking. We know that many police officers are trigger happy. Do we honestly think they care about the life of these creatures?any would shoot a human in an instant. Let;s hope PETA makes a stink about it.

I know, I couldn’t believe it happened like that, and so fast, 49 lives. I think PETA should also make a fuss about the person who kept those animals–if he hadn’t kept them in cages as he did, they could probably have tranquilized and trapped them much more easily. We’re hearing that the police were trying not to shoot them, but they and others were being attacked because the animals were frightened and hungry and no one was equipped with nets or tranquilizers. I hope they pass laws preventing keeping wild animals as pets.
