Saving 70,000 Turtle Eggs from Oil

Turtles live as long as humans, but only if they can survive their childhood. This oil spill could kill a whole generation of turtles but the US Fish and Wildlife Service is coordinating to move hundreds of eggs to safer places.
An effort to scoop thousands of turtle eggs from their nests to save them from death in the oily Gulf of Mexico will begin in the coming weeks in a desperate attempt to keep an entire generation of threatened species from vanishing.
