TNR in Pittsburgh

18 Jun

Thanks Alley Cat Allies for spotlighting Pittsburgh’s efforts at TNR. When all the mills closed and we lost half our population, feral cats took a strong hold in abandoned urban and rural areas and it’s been difficult to get under control for years. Now between shelters and Homeless Cat Management, volunteers can target areas they can manage.

Local animal shelters are looking for volunteers to help round up the animals for spaying and neutering, which can stop nuisance habits and reduce the feral population.
