Cats and Whirlybirds

7 May

Everyone has been watching the whirlybirds fall from the maple trees right past the windows, so I carried in a handful and tossed the around the house for everyone to chase. I think they had more fun watching me than chasing the whirlybirds, and I had fun watching them try to figure out how to make them “work” on the floor. (No link in this one, just fun!)

I could send you some! Don’t know if they’d make it through the mail, though. There’s no substitute, either–I bring in other natural toys, but only whirlybirds spin on their way to the ground!

That is a great idea. I might try that with all these silly kids here. But actually I don’t think we have whirlybirds close to us. I will have to go look for a maple tree
