I’m surprised we’re not all dead already for all the horrible things stray and feral cats bring to our lives. Stray and feral colonies have been around for hundreds of years in this country, thousands in Europe, and there’s never been any proof that they’ve ruined anyone’s life or business or that they spread diseases beyond their own colony, or that they predate enough on wildlife to permanently reduce populations. Makes me think it’s not the cats who are perpetrating the damage.
In fact, we’re just cleaning up after irresponsible humans anyway, the ones who let their cats reproduce and toss out the ones they don’t want. They are the ones who should be paying any fees, if you think that’s necessary.
